  9. Welcome Mark to BlogGeek! Thank you for getting involved in the forum! Let me know if there is anything you need help with along the way as you build your site!
  10. That is a very difficult question to answer because there are so many factors. Things that can affect that answer are: Do you have a good Niche Frequency of content delivered Level of external involvement in Social Media/Advertising Affiliate Marketing involvement Do you have a digital product? Online courses? Are you building an email list? And one of the biggest issues, do you have the staying power? Most bloggers get all psyched in the beginning, but end up quitting because they are not making thousands of dollars in the first 3-6 months. I've seen some of the most successful bloggers report only making $12 for the first year, some have even reported a loss after two years, but stayed in the game. You must truly make sure you are first doing this because you love doing this. If you were to do this and know you were not going to make money, would you still do it? That's a tough question, but if simply blogging is your motivation, then you will most likely succeed. If you are doing this for the all mighty dollar only, then you will be tested. In regards to your first comment: Your best bet is to be as organized as possible. I personally use Airtable to keep track of everything I do. It gives me one central location to look at, organize and plan my work. I'll try to post some information on that in the blog one day. But remember, if you fail to plan, plan of failing. Good luck and let me know if I can be of any assistance.
  11. Ok, let me start by saying....I have no clue if this is going to work, but I love the idea of doing this. I think its a refreshing alternative to the restrictive aspects of Facebook groups with their rules and fear of spam (and rightfully so). My blog is....this blog! https://BlogGeek.com. I'm working on a few items at the moment and I'll go into detail later. I just wanted to get this post up to provide an example of how this works! So, let's hear from you....put your blog in the CLUB Links section above and tell us what you do! What are you working on? Need help with anything? Enjoy!
  12. I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and forum. I've built this site in hopes of sharing my knowledge and experiences with like-minded individuals. I've been building websites since 1997 by reverse engineering websites. I would basically look at the code behind the sites and tinker with it to see what it did. By doing this, I taught myself the basic HTML language. Times have changed. With programs like FrontPage, people started getting used to WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get). This made making websites much easier. Now, it's even easier with Wordpress! Anyone can spend a few weekends engulfed in Wordpress and build their own website. But as we all know, its not as easy as "If you can build it, they will come" It's pretty much crickets after the easy part. There are so many factors involved with website building and maintenance that many don't realize until after they get past the easy part of getting the domain and installing wordpress. Search engine optimization, privacy policies, copyrights, etc. Well, I don't want to get to off-course with this post, so I'll keep this short. Thank you for reading up to this point. I would love to read your introduction and I would also greatly appreciate if you would get the word out about our Blog/Forum so that we can enjoy some great conversations. Sincerely, Michael
